Photo Talk with Johannes H. Sekse – “Place Names on the Western Hardangervidda”

Johannes H. Sekse will give an illustrated talk based on the book “Place Names on the Western Hardangervidda”, for which he served as photo editor. Johannes trained as a teacher, but most of his professional career has been as an editor and journalist for several local newspapers. He started with the newspaper Sunnhordland in Stord, later worked for Marsteinen in Austevoll, then spent two years at the newspaper Hardanger before working 27 years at Hardanger Folkeblad.

As a leader of many group hiking tours over the years, he is well acquainted with most parts of Hardangervidda. He was also co-author of the book “Stølar og buer i Kvenne-, Veig- og Kinsevassdraga” and is currently working on a book about Veigdalen.

The lecture will be given in Norwegian.

The Friends of Skredhaugen organize many events on Wednesdays throughout the summer. There will be a small café serving pastries and coffee, and the exhibitions Spor i tid and BEE Hardanger will be open. Everyone is warmly welcome.
