Lecture by Edmund Harris Utne – “Old News for Present-Day Enjoyment”

Edmund Harris Utne is a Norwegian hotel and tourism executive from Hardanger. He was the fourth-generation owner of Hotel Ullensvang, one of the best-known hotels in the region. In 2006, he was appointed Knight First Class of the Order of St. Olav for his long-standing contribution to Norwegian tourism. The Utne family has a long tradition in hospitality and traveling in Hardanger. His great-grandfather, Hans Utne, moved from Utne to Lofthus and in 1846 established a steamship expedition and accommodation service, which became the foundation of the hotel business.

The lecture will be given in Norwegian.

The Friends of Skredhaugen organize many events on Wednesdays throughout the summer. There will be a small café serving pastries and coffee, and the exhibitions Spor i tid and BEE Hardanger will be open. Everyone is warmly welcome.

Tickets: Adults NOK 125, Students NOK 75, and children free.
